I'm just curious, what do most of you guys rely on to put fish in the boat when the water temps are in the mid 40s. I won't pick up anything but a drop shot or shakey head myself......

Brad- I'm certainly no expert but I've been fishing for over 40 yrs. I like to fish a Jig and Frog combo. I also like a Jerk Bait or Shad Rap fished like a Jerk Bait. I guess the best advice is to fish s-l-o-w. When you think your fishing slow enough then slow down twice that much more. I hope this helps.

JIG----Down to a quarter ounce in cold water. I still like the number eleven pork frogs in black or brown. My favorite color is black and red.

im having trouble getting c-4 deap enough... any help with that?

3/4 ounce jig and real pork trailer it dosent harden in cold water like plastic trailers

i think i really just suck at fishing jigs and jerkbaits cuz i always have very little luck with them in cold weather... ill take a buzzbait anyday lol

A pig and jig is the standard for me.
Or a big old swimbait on one of our trout stocked lakes.
